There is a rewarding feeling that is hard to beat when crossing the finishline after 10 glorious miles along rolling countryside and through stunning fall colors. Concord, New Hampshire is fortunate to embrace a community event such as the Boys & Girls Club Granite State 10 Miler that attracts runners of all abilities from different states and Canada.

The Granite State Racing Team hosted its inaugural race event in 2011. The race has since become a top New England race that benefits The Boys and Girls Club whose mission has a far-reaching and positive impact on the community.

What's with the Martians?  Since our race begins and ends at the front entrance of the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, everyone is encouraged to dress up as Martians whether you are running or cheering your runner on. Everyone who dresses up as Martians will receive buy-one, get-one free admission to the Discovery Center.

The race is run during fall foliage with an average high temperature of 61 degrees. There are volunteers at each turn, great music before and after the race, and an excellent variety of good nutritional, and just plain good, post race food provided by local sponsors.

All proceeds from the race will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Concord, NH. Additionally, $4 from each entry will go to the NHTI Cross Country Team for use of their facilities.

Prizes are awarded for the top 3 male and female overall times, top male and female master (40+) and top 3 finishers in each age group.
